Food and catering photography for Banksia Bakehouse
Our Banksia Bakehouse series brings together individual baked goods and catering selections for the Sydney bakery. The photography focuses on the products themselves, from golden croissants and laminated pastries to chocolate cakes and miniature tartlets. Each item has its own shape, finish and texture, with grouped photographs showing the variety across the range.
We used overhead compositions and restrained, dark backgrounds to keep the food in focus. Light catches the layers of the pastry, while details such as pistachios, seeds, icing and sugar give the close views their character. Larger arrangements show how the products sit together, with enough space around them to keep the selection clear.
The photographs were created for the bakery’s marketing and publications. The series balances product detail with a view of the catering offering, giving Banksia a consistent set of images that shows both individual pieces and the range as a whole. The finished gallery keeps attention on the food and the care visible in its presentation.
