The Wet Collection

I photographed Werner Bronkhorst’s Wet Collection from his studio to its Bondi Beach exhibition, held from 1–9 February 2025. Artist portraits, close views of the textured paintings and aerial coastal photographs bring the collection into context. Through EDG Studios, I provide art documentation and exhibition photography in Sydney, with attention to the work, its setting and the process behind it.

Documenting the Wet Collection from coast to studio

Aerial views, studio photographs and exhibition coverage place Werner Bronkhorst’s Wet Collection in context. The gallery moves from coastal settings to the materials and process behind the finished paintings. Close photographs show the depth of the acrylic gel surfaces and the scale of the miniature figures, while portraits and wider studio views record the artist at work. Bringing these photographs together gives the collection a visual record of how it was made, the detail within each piece and how the work was presented.

Our photography of Bronkhorst’s practice spans several collections, including the Crack Collection and 911 What’s Your Emergency, alongside the TAG Heuer event featuring the artist.
