This long-term documentation project chronicles Bronkhorst's artistic exploration through behind-the-scenes process photography, finished artwork documentation, and exhibition installation coverage. Each collection interprets the sex, drugs, rock and roll motif through distinct visual approaches: fast cars, water, and desert landscapes.
Working across Sydney studios and gallery spaces, we've created a visual archive that captures both the intimate creative process and the public presentation of the work. The Wet Collection
Aquatic environments in the blue chromatic range. Miniature figures set against swimming pools, sailboats, and water elements at exaggerated scale. Translucent materials and reflective surfaces explore intimacy through composition and colour rather than explicit content.
The Crack Collection
Cracked expansive surfaces in burnt orange, cocoa brown, and sand beige. Miniature cowboys, camels, tennis players, surfers, cyclists, climbers, suspended between vast terrain and intricate detail. Desert or dessert? Shifts in scale blur the line between the monumental and the miniature.
